Master Budget Planning Without the Spreadsheet Chaos

We built our methodology while working with mid-sized Vietnamese companies who were drowning in disconnected Excel files. Turns out, most budget problems aren't about numbers at all.

How We Got Here

Started in a tiny office in District 3, now we teach budgeting across Ho Chi Minh City. The journey taught us more than any textbook.

2019

The Founding Problem

After watching three department heads argue over the same budget line for forty minutes, we realized most companies don't have a budget problem. They have a communication problem that shows up in budgets. That meeting became our first case study.

2021

Method Development Phase

Worked with twelve companies to refine our approach. What worked? Teaching people to build budgets that actually reflect how work happens, not just how finance departments wish it happened. We threw out half our original curriculum based on what real teams needed.

2023

Cross-Department Framework

Launched our signature training on departmental collaboration. Finance teams learned to speak operations language. Operations teams learned to speak finance language. Everyone learned to build budgets together instead of against each other.

2025

Current Focus and Beyond

Now we're exploring how smaller teams can adopt enterprise-level budget practices without the enterprise-level headaches. Our autumn 2025 program will focus on scaling budget systems as companies grow. Because that transition usually breaks everything.

Real Projects, Real Lessons

Last year we worked with a manufacturing company that had seven different budget versions floating around. Nobody knew which one was current. Sound familiar?

We didn't start with new software or fancy templates. We started by mapping how information actually moved through their organization. Turns out, three departments were updating budgets in isolation because nobody had bothered to set up a shared process.

The fix wasn't technical. It was structural. We taught them to build budget workflows that matched their real reporting lines, not their org chart fantasies. Within two months, they had one budget. One source of truth.

Key takeaway: Most budget chaos stems from process gaps, not people gaps. Fix the workflow before you blame the team.

Our next intensive program starts in September 2025. Limited to twelve participants because budget work needs real feedback, not lecture halls.
